On Wednesday, May, 6, 2020, the Roanoke Valley Chess Club hosted the May Online Quick Championship with good turnout on chess.com. The time control was 15 minutes with a 2-second increment, and lasting 5 rounds.
The Results:
1st: William Villarreal; 2nd-6th: Drew Gripp, Ray Megginson, Benjamin Dubuque, Sam Kennedy, and Christian Carver.
The tournament featured a lot of fighting chess and was overall a fun event. This tournament is the first online quick tournament in which the winner did not have a perfect score.
